7月20日、九文小中学校でサマーフェスティバルを行いました。フェスティバルでは小中学生が英語でコミュニケーションをとります。最初は体育館で始まり、児童たちは2チームに分かれてアイスブレーキングゲームを行いました。その後、学校全部を使って、中学生が設置したブースを小学生が回り、英語で夏の活動について短い会話をしました。小学生は質問に答えられたらシールをもらうことができます。目標は、できるだけ多くの中学生と話すことでした。中学生は夏の衣装や飾りを持参し、小学生は明るい笑顔で、できるだけ多くの中学生と話す機会を楽しんでいました。このイベントは、児童生徒同士の絆を深める、絶好の機会となりました。九文小中の先生、児童、生徒、すべての人にとって楽しい一日となりました。

     On July 20^th, Kyubun Elementary and Junior High School held its Summer Festival.　During the festival, the Elementary and Junior High School students were given a chance to communicate with each other in English. The activities started in the gym as students separated into two teams to play an ice breaking game. After that, everyone returned to their classrooms for the communication activity. During this activity, the Junior High School students set up booths and Elementary students separated into small teams and went around the school to find the booths. After the students had a short conversation about their summer activities in English, the Junior High School students gave the Elementary students stickers . The goal was to talk to as many Junior High School students as possible. The Junior High School students brought summer costumes and decorations and the Elementary students were seen smiling brightly and enjoying their chance to talk with as many Junior High School students as they could. The event was a great opportunity for our students to bond and interact with each other and to increase their chance to communicate in English. It was a fun day for all involved.
