On Saturday, October 3, 2026, middle school students from across Nagasaki Prefecture gathered at Kwassui Women's University for the 78th annual Prince Takamado Cup English Speech Contest. A total of 22 talented participants delivered wonderfully written and articulately presented speeches, each competing for a top-three spot to qualify for the national stage in Tokyo.

We are proud to share that a Kyushu Bunka Gakuen Junior High School 8th-grade student,  earned an impressive 4th place finish among the prefecture's best speakers! She took the stage with remarkable confidence and poise, delivering a wonderful speech titled "Beyond Words."

Taking the stage to deliver an original speech in a foreign language requires months of dedicated preparation, courage, and hard work.
